The crowding issue is making a comeback, with many destinations once again contending this phenomenon. study theorised research model, grounded in cognitive appraisal theory, to examine how perceived impacts tourists' revisit intention through the mediating roles of tourism fatigue and psychological reactance. Two empirical studies employing two-wave cross-sectional data from various types were conducted validate proposed model. findings indicate that while negative impact on mediated by diminishes over time, its adverse effect persists Furthermore, results identify full serial mediation effect, reactance linking intentions across diverse contexts. Additionally, differences these effects observed between spatial human specific contexts, such as museums recreational streets. These not only contribute unravelling intricate mechanisms underlying but also offer valuable insights for sustainable development grappling issues.
