Metacognitive Interpersonal Therapy for Misophonia: A Single-Case Study

Background:
Misophonia
is
a
chronic
condition
in
which
the
exposure
to
specific
sounds
increases
arousal
and
recurrence
of
intense
negative
emotions.
We
hypothesized
that
misophonia
may
be
strongly
related
maladaptive
interpersonal
schemas
create
difficulties
relationships.
Subjects
with

Abstract
Objectives
Despite
its
numerous
benefits,
practicing
mindfulness
involves
certain
challenges.

study
investigates
the
impact
of
various
characteristics

practice
instructions
on
recipients’
evaluations,

reactions
and
hinder
