The implementation of differentiated learning in private madrasahs raises a big question mark regarding the suitability between theory and practice field. principle learning, which is claimed to accommodate diversity, turns out be far different when implemented, especially that are transitioning from previous curriculum. main purpose this research explore illusory construction innovation English results pseudo-innovation. approach used qualitative with type ethnography. was conducted 4 suburbs Sampit city. subjects were teachers who implemented four madrasas. stage analysis process assisted by innovation-decision Everett Rogers. study show (1) illusion occurs because stages diffusion decision cause anomalies process. (2) Madrasahs forced follow Ministry Religious Affairs requires an independent curriculum including being trapped (3) registered as institutions implement learning. However, practice, still adopt old ignore innovations they not considered following characteristics madrasah itself. (4) implies it will evaluation material for pay more attention implementing (5) Confirming pseudo-innovation
