Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies have significantly attracted the attention of institutional investors over last decade. However, previous literature has not deeply explored characteristics venture capital (VC) investments in AI ventures. In this study, we explore whether and to what extent ventures differ from those similar non-AI ventures, they are moderated by venture-level, country-level, investor-level factors. We test our hypotheses on a sample 5235 2689 9215 4373 belonging Industry 4.0 domain, observed 2000 2019. find that amount invested is lower than ones: negative relationship is, however, venture’s development stage, VC investor’s experience level country which operates.

The recent rapid diffusion this twin European regions has not adhered to clearly defined been characterised by a dynamic process actor reconfiguration. However, with strong science base have greater propensity produce more, better quality more visible knowledge. Among most prevalent fields emerging today are artificial intelligence (AI)- Internet Things (IoT)-powered applications energy storage, distribution consumption; environmental monitoring modelling; urban planning.

Abstract This study explored the synergistic effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on green innovation at national level by identifying three core activities in innovation: entry, exit, and sustained specialization technologies. Employing a comprehensive three-way fixed-effects panel model, we analyzed trends 139 countries over 30-year period. Our findings emphasize that technological capability, especially AI technologies, is more pivotal than economic wealth securing comparative advantages One notable observation path-dependent development technology, which suggests propensity for nations to build new technologies based existing strengths. A key contribution this “AI-Green Cross-Density” model. innovative method quantifies interactions between highlights role promoting innovation. The influence introduction has become pronounced recent years, particularly economically less-developed countries. indicate integration modern can significantly enhance technology sectors mid-to-low-income countries, providing vital insights policymakers striving foster sustainable technologically advanced future.
