Abstract
Intergenerational
financial
assistance
with
home
ownership
has
attracted
increasing
scholarly
interest
in
recent
years.
Existing
research
focussed
primarily
on
its
impact
inequality,
housing
market
outcomes
and
notions
of
meritocracy,
as
well
the
relational
dynamics
through
which
it
is
negotiated.
The
topic
elder
abuse
has,
however,
remained
an
area
relative
silence
this
literature
despite
concerns
raised
by
advocacy
groups.
In
article,
we
consider
how
intergenerational
may
facilitate
attitudes
behaviours
that
can
result
abuse.
To
do
so,

This
article
analyzes
how
newly
qualified
teachers
(NQTs)
are
conceptualized
in
Norwegian
policy,
specifically
the
green
paper
'NOU
2022:
13:
With
Further
Significance'.
Utilizing
Carol
Bacchi's
'What's
Problem
Represented
to
Be?'
approach,
we
dissect
policy
proposals
and
solutions
uncover
examine
a
tension-filled
conceptualization
of
NQTs
as
both
'valuable
contributors'
'being
need'.
Our
findings
reveal
discourse
that
predominantly
frames
'problem'
while
marginalizing
potential
deleterious
conditions
shape
their
professional
realities.
We
argue
this
framing
not
only
oversimplifies
complex
issue
but
also
risks
perpetuating
very
challenges
it
aims
solve.
Considering
these
findings,
highlight
benefits
shifting
from
remediating
deficits
one
equality
acknowledges
NQTs'
capabilities
contributions.

AbstractThis
article
explores
the
framing
of
youth
and
adult
education
(YAE)
policies
in
two
Latin
American
countries,
namely
Chile
Peru.
It
takes
their
participation
PIAAC
as
a
contextual
starting
point
to
unravel
problems
explicitly
or
implicitly
framed
YAE
root
causes,
understood
by
key
policy
stakeholders.
We
found
that
documents
specifically
addressing
are
not
only
scarce,
but
also
existing
ones
tend
be
either
too
broad
narrow
relation
how
is
understood.
The
results
suggest
both
there
exists
widespread
disregard
for
YAE,
limited
perspective
on
field,
generalised
lack
funding
YAE.
Under
these
conditions,
study
like
primarily
motivated
considerations
unrelated
education,
thus
resulting
very
impact
