In this second report on children’s geographies, I ask what geographical research children and childhood can tell us about adults adulthood. Discussing three figurative relationalities – as a projection, project provenance of adulthood the addresses asymmetrical dynamics between they manifest distinctively in spatial contexts ranging from family education to climate politics war. This relational framing offers critical lens for examining not an implicitly normative model subjectivity but relation its contingent positioning vis-à-vis childhood.

Climate change is one of the greatest threats to humanity and biosphere. Early childhood education care has been proposed as a key strategy enable individuals gain climate literacy enact behaviour change. Well-designed pre-service teacher training programmes in science are required implement effective starting early years. Yet how teachers conceptualise based on their community funds knowledge identity largely unknown. This qualitative case study shows seven Maltese have some basic understanding but they also hold misconceptions, (mis)understandings influenced by identity. Based these findings, suggestions for relation proposed, implications findings future research, policy practice noted.
