Purpose
Given
the
workplace’s
reinvention
to
accommodate
global
pandemic’s
novel
conditions,
knowledge
hiding
(KH)
behaviour
in
knowledge-intensive
organisations
must
be
examined
from
a
fresh
perspective.

context,

between
workplace
ostracism
(WO)
as
KH’s
antecedent
and
quiet
quitting
(QQ)
its
consequence
is
undertaken
via
mediating
role
of
KH
among
workers
(KWs).
Design/methodology/approach
Through
stratified
sampling,
data
649
KWs
obtained
test
model.
Partial
least
squares
structural
equation
modelling
(PLS-SEM)
using
SMART-PLS
4.0.
software
establishes
significant
influence
WO
on
QQ.
significantly
mediates
QQ,
highlighting
critical
intermediary
PLSPredict
evaluates
model’s
predictiveness.

Purpose
This
study
aims
to
enhance
the
understanding
of
team
virtuality
by
exploring
its
impact
on
individual
counterproductive
knowledge
behaviors,
particularly
hiding.
It
examines
mediating
roles
cognitive
and
affective
trust
moderating
influence
learning
goal
orientation,
addressing
a
significant
gap
in
how
virtual
interactions
affect
management
processes
at
level.
Design/methodology/approach
We
conducted
three-wave
online
survey
with
matched
sample
274
employees
who
have
work
experience
China.
performed
series
structural
equation
modeling
(SEM)
analyses
using
Mplus
8.3
test
our
proposed
hypotheses.
Findings
The
results
indicate
significantly
positive
association
between
perceived
hiding,
mediated
both
cognition-
affect-based
trust,
latter
showing
stronger
mediation
effect.
Additionally,
orientation
negatively
moderates
indirect
relationship
hiding
via
(affective)
trust.
Practical
implications
By
mechanisms
through
which
influences
behaviors
within
teams,
organizations
can
provide
emotional
instructional
support
for
mitigate
improve
efficiency
effectiveness
management.
Originality/value

differentiated
analysis
