In response to the increasingly complex ethical issues facing health leaders, Bioethics Department at The Hospital for Sick Children (a Canadian quaternary care paediatric research institution) was asked by senior leadership develop a ethics curriculum that would further ability of its institution’s leaders deliberate and make morally defensible decisions in their roles. Insights from an interdisciplinary literature review suggest general objectives structure teaching remain constant, with specifics changing depending on organization intended participants. Implementing findings institutional needs assessment, our modular curriculum, which engages participants asynchronous synchronous learning, designed support (1) understanding personal organizational values, (2) recognizing significance attending dimensions decisions, (3) familiarity expectations, (4) practicing application analysis, enhancing abilities confidence engage issues.

Objectives The mental health of veterinary and other animal professionals is significantly impacted by the psychological stressors they encounter, such as euthanasia, witnessing suffering moral distress. Moral distress, initially identified in nursing, arises when individuals are aware right action but hindered institutional constraints. We aimed to review existing research on distress scales among care workers focusing identification psychometric validity its measurement. Design Two-step systematic review. First, we all used eligible original studies. Second, evaluated their validity, emphasising content which a critical aspect patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). This evaluation adhered Consensus-based Standards for Selection Health Measurement Instruments (COSMIN). results were reported according Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses. Data sources PubMed, EMBASE PsycINFO search studies published between January 1984 April 2023. Eligibility criteria selecting included (primary) that (1) conducted workers; (2) describing either development scale, or validation scale modified version, assess at least one properties mentioned COSMIN guidelines. extraction synthesis Two independent reviewers standardised methods search, screen code considered following information relevant extraction: study reference, name reference used, assessed assessments. collected was then summarised narrative synthesis. Results only PROM specifically adapted contexts: Measure Distress Animal Professionals (MMD-AP), derived from Healthcare (MMD-HP). Both MMD-HP MMD-AP quality validity. both deemed doubtful. According COSMIN, MMD-HP’s rated sufficient, whereas MMD-AP’s inconsistent. However, evidence PROMs low. Conclusion first focused measurement workers. Aim: Beside its catastrophic consequences for Ukraine, the Russian aggression has had a major impact on so-ciety. The article explores and reflects experience of 23-year-old student in Russia during first year war Ukraine (2022) which elucidates moral conflict dealing with close relatives who hold different political view conflict. author uses autoethnography to describe lived navigating nuances daily life, grappling propaganda, conflicting feelings toward relatives. In particular, is questioning how one must act times peril demise. Methods: We employed autoethnographic collaborative research explore author’s narrative stemming from her personal being citizen country that inflicted another country. examination was conducted collaboratively researcher (DS) enhance comprehension regarding context interacts social, political, cultural factors.
