Digital platforms have a high potential for supporting learning processes, especially in higher education. ABSTRACT South Korea has been known for high rates of ‘early study abroad’ (ESA) or jogi yuhak participation, in which pre‐college students go abroad an international education. However, this trend declined recently. Instead, many Korean parents and their children are seeking the benefits ‘studying without leaving long periods. Based on in‐depth interviews with parents, I explore various strategies they employ to provide children, aged 4–12, ‘study experiences’ actually studying extended period. These approaches include English immersion programmes, such as kindergartens camps designed expose foreign cultures languages. analyse how parents’ aspirations nurture ‘happy children’ while securing future success shape diverse that transcend traditional local–global sedentary–mobile dichotomies. This highlights more complex motivations behind educational choices, emphasizing goals beyond mere capital accumulation lifestyle consumption.
