The rising use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Metaverse and Blockchain technologies has influenced capabilities in a wide variety industries. Purpose This research aimed to understand perceptions of experienced coaches the potential changes and impacts artificial intelligence (AI) coach bots pose coaching industry in imminent future. Design/methodology/approach was an exploratory qualitative study which semi-structured interviews were carried out with nine credentialed professional a range experience AI bots. The data analysed using thematic analysis. Findings Four themes developed from data: (1) limited capabilities bots; (2) greater accessibility services; (3) possible AI-human hybrid service delivery (4) ethical issues interviewees emphasised importance human presence, qualities characteristics context.
