Purpose As more hotels adopt artificial intelligence (AI), it becomes inevitable for employees to rely on abilities enhanced by the use of AI complete tasks. However, our understanding how adapt this shift in work design remains limited. Therefore, purpose study is explore hotel employees’ approach and avoidance behavioral reactions dependence AI. Design/methodology/approach A three-wave field was conducted, collecting data from 303 analyzed using Mplus 8.3. Findings Dependence can be construed as a positive stimulus, augmenting harmonious passion subsequently promoting job crafting. The promotion focus positively moderates process. The happiness levels of nurses at the workplace positively affect their behaviors willingness make a positive difference patient care. In this context, study aims examine serial mediation role these factors by associating effect nurse on with transformational leadership perception artificial intelligence use. Nurses working two medium-sized public hospitals Eastern Black Sea region Turkey were selected as sample. Data collected from 458 convenience sampling method. cross-sectional study, scales whose validity reliability supported other studies used. When findings evaluated, significant relationship was found between behavior. addition, it that AI usage had mediating separately Finally, when research model tested, also determined use have This revealed has behaviors, relationship. Ultimately, offers some theoretical practical implications for practitioners emphasizing strategic importance practices integration technologies, well increasing promote innovation healthcare services.
