Los enteógenos han surgido en la investigación clínica como un tratamiento alternativo para Depresión Resistente al Tratamiento (DRT). Exploring the Impact of Recreational Drugs on Suicidal Behavior: A Narrative Review

Substance use/abuse and suicide are two closely related phenomena, mostly due to neurobiological, psychological, social impairments. In the present narrative review, relationship between suicidal behavior (SB) use abuse of common recreational drugs, such as alcohol, cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, nicotine, ketamine, psilocybin, MDMA, LSD, has been explored. Furthermore, potential mechanisms linking have also examined. According current research, all substances appear a deleterious effect on SB except for ketamine which could potentially confer protective effect. Further studies needed understand suicide.

Social Media Discourse on Cannabis: Global Influence of Legalization (Preprint)

Cannabis is the third most consumed drug worldwide, with its use linked to a high number of substance disorders, particularly among young men. Associated mortality causes include traffic accidents and cardiovascular diseases. The global expansion cannabis legalization has sparked debates about impact on risk perception, which decreased in countries permissive laws. Social media analysis, such as X, useful tool for studying these perceptions how they vary by geographic region. This study aims analyze Twitter users' legalization, taking into account location tweets. A mixed-methods approach was used cannabis-related tweets Twitter, using keywords "cannabis," "marijuana," "hachís," "hashish." Tweets were collected from January 1, 2018, April 30, 2022, English Spanish, included those at least 10 retweets. content analysis involved an inductive-deductive approach, resulting classification thematic categories, including discussions legalization. tweet showed that America, Europe, Asia, political common topic, while personal testimonies dominated Oceania Africa. In all continents, experiences mostly positive, recording highest percentage (60.93%). Regarding also led favor (68.13%), followed America Africa, support Europe Asia slightly lower, half favor. shows leads discussions, predominating regions, positive outweigh negative ones, especially Oceania.
