Abstract With more than 1300 civilians murdered and 240 kidnapped, the massacre of October 7th is one deadliest terrorist attacks in modern history. The mental health consequences have been documented. However, little known impact betrayal-based moral injury (MI)––in which individuals feel betrayed by leaders they once trusted–– on levels psychological burden aftermath such an attack.
