The enforcement of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic restrictions disrupted traditional face-to-face qualitative data collection in public health. forced researchers to transition remote methods such as digital storytelling. Currently, there is a limited understanding ethical and methodological challenges We, therefore, reflect on solutions for implementing storytelling project self-care at South African university during COVID-19 pandemic. Guided by Salmon's Qualitative e-Research Framework, reflective journals were used between March June 2022. We documented online recruitment, obtaining informed consent virtually, collecting using well efforts overcoming challenges. Our reflections identified major challenges, namely recruitment compromised asynchronous communication; participants' research knowledge; privacy confidentiality concerns; poor internet connectivity; quality stories; devices with shortage storage space; technological skills; time commitment required create stories. Strategies adopted address these included an ongoing process; flexible timelines creation one-on-one guidance creating multiple platforms share critical reflection offers practical conduct health makes significant contribution considerations use future pandemics. The Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) is an academic foundation programme established and supported by South Africa’s Department of Higher Education Training as a route enabling environment for educationally disadvantaged, underprepared, unprepared, at-risk students to access succeed in higher education. However, beyond the concerns enrolled on this programme, there are social issues that could hinder success students. This study examines challenges selected university Africa. Using qualitative research method, data was collected following focus group discussion comprising twelve groups Faculty Management Commerce ECP first-year found face number including information asymmetry, mismatch between high school subjects courses, transitioning from setting, inadequate unequal support, stigmatization. findings imply need guidance counselling choice future career at level, awareness about ECP, strengthened support improving integration boosting students’ self-confidence. Government institutions introduce educational anti-stigma interventions correct individuals’ society’s misinformed perceptions programmes promote potential possibilities programme.

Technology usage in teaching and learning is not a new pedagogical practice the benefits of its adoption are noted literature. However, an area that often neglected when integrating technology into competency level would-be learners or students. This study investigated student levels based on factors such as their prior exposure to computers availability facilitating conditions human technical support. The adopted descriptive approach was quantitative nature. Data collected from 368 students by means questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were obtained through analysis computer-based assessment acceptance model (CBAAM) adopted. results showed provisioning technology-integrated academic environment positively influences use technology. The integration of information and communications technology (ICT) into the education system has led to changes in way teaching learning are conducted. These have necessitated need for teachers ICT skills that would help them integrate (T&L). Hence, this qualitative study was conducted investigate state readiness Engineering Graphics Design (EGD) T&L uMgungundlovu secondary schools. Convenience sampling employed select nine EGD partake study. Semi-structured interviews classroom observations were used collect data. Data gathered from subjected thematic analysis, data reported descriptively. findings revealed District ready EGD, as they indicated lessons is essential. further a shortage resources lack among teachers, which hinder successful ICT. recommends Department Basic Education (DBE) provide with training so those who technically disadvantaged can be equipped relevant skills. DBE give schools an AutoCAD license, it been proven useful tool.

Abstract The global COVID-19 pandemic has added considerable complexity to the education and training of health care professionals as well patient care. Literature suggests that e-Learning mobile (mHealth) technologies have great potential, but research studies are sparse, especially in low- middle-income countries. paper presents South African science students’ perceptions importance, relevance, constraints future possibilities mHealth. Students from five universities participated a modified Delphi. first phase student focus groups interviews (n = 5), established baseline experiences mHealth during post-COVID-19. These findings informed design an online survey 155) for second study. majority students were familiar with e-Learning, less so mHealth; however most believed both be beneficial complement theoretical clinical teaching. Reasons integrated Learning Management System (LMS), also known virtual learning environments, include increased flexibility, access enhanced learning; issues anxiety, reduced interactivity, absence context lack discipline- or profession-specific features reasons against. perceived importance particular tools highlighted. will contribute redesign work-integrated curricula development inclusive, student-centred, sciences-specific multi-modal LMS directed towards student-centred while addressing concerns around digital divide social justice.

Purpose This study employs the social ecology model to comprehensively explore complex challenges young Black men face in South Africa and aims highlight importance of collaboration addressing these multifaceted issues. Oral health care programs offer a platform for experiential learning that include prospects skills development; opportunities knowledge application and the creation of an awareness community responsibilities. Gaining experience in special needs patients is ideally achieved through exposure settings such as school community. This study investigated perceptions reflections by final year oral hygiene students need's program at University Western Cape. incorporated concurrent triangulation design included Hygiene who participated program. Students completed on-line self-administered questionnaire, reflective journal focus group discussion. All respondents understood concept learning. The predominant dispositions emerged student adaptation, awareness, empathy, which were regarded particularly important personal growth. With regards to academic growth, facets confidence, theory translation, clinical skill development improved communication identified critical elements development. This study investigates the influence of gender, previous computing knowledge, institution type and interpersonal skills on self-efficacy final year students Computer Science in Southwest, Nigeria. Leveraging survey data collected from 408 across 9 universities, research provides empirical evidence into some factors associated with undergraduate students. Consumer-to-consumer (C2C) platforms represent a new era these This study investigates factors influencing U.S. consumers' behaviors towards utilizing C2C online marketplaces, employing Unified Theory Acceptance and Use Technology 2 (UTAUT2) framework, which is widely used to understand adoption technology or innovations. Given inherent risks associated with sharing personal financial information, as well uncertainties between buyers sellers, variable perceived risk was also included study. A comprehensive survey conducted via Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk), yielding 517 responses from diverse sample participants. findings reveal several significant consumer behavior.
