The protective effects of the milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) in alleviating inflammation have been reported. However, limited attention has paid to key fraction protein (MFGMP). This study investigated camel MFGMP against dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis (UC) mice. results revealed that administering 50 mg/kg significantly alleviated colonic inflammation, as evidenced by a marked decrease IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α levels, along with pathological damage DSS-induced mice UC. supplementation partially regulated gut microbiota dysbiosis UC increasing α-diversity relative abundance beneficial bacteria, such Lactobacillus, while decreasing Akkermansia. Additionally, treatment exhibited significant regulatory on metabolites, particularly amino acid metabolism, feces. Specifically, this restored L-valine normal physiological levels increased concentrations L-leucine, L-lysine, L-tyrosine nearly twice their baseline whereas concentration L-tryptophan threefold. These upregulated acids were negatively correlated pro-inflammatory cytokines positively anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10, indicated Spearman's correlation analysis. Furthermore, reduction mRNA expression WNT-1, β-catenin, Cyclin D1 suggests exerts positive effect via Wnt/β-catenin pathway. findings indicate modulating intestinal metabolism mice, potential implications for treating inflammatory diseases.

Abstract Ulcerative colitis (UC) leads to complex alterations in the intestinal microenvironment, with gut microbiota dysbiosis and excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) being major drivers. Previously, microecological preparations have been used restore homeostasis demonstrated considerable potential; however, efficacy is hindered due hostile environment gastrointestinal tract high ROS levels at lesion sites. Accordingly, a multienzyme mimicking vanadium carbide (V2C) MXenzyme armored colon‐colonizing Akkermansia muciniphila (Akk) probiotic designed synchronously alleviate inflammation regulate microbiota. V2C induced on boron hydroxyl groups coated onto via boronic acid vicinal‐diol‐based click reactions called Akk@V2C. Akk@V2C targets UC lesional sites Akk colonizing capabilities electrostatic interactions. effectively scavenges enhances colonialization mouse model colon tissue biopsies from patients UC. Furthermore, exhibits notable curative effects by alleviating inflammation, reprogramming macrophage polarization, regulating homeostasis, thus promoting short chain fatty production restoring barriers. Moreover, this approach exerts negligible impact bacterial viability has shown potential other probiotics. Collectively, given its flexibility favorable biocompatibility, promising for biomaterial delivery biomedical applications.

Numerous studies demonstrate that intestinal microbiota contribute to colorectal cancer (CRC), which is often associated with dysbiosis. Most of the data were obtained from on CRC patients, making it challenging determine whether alterations in are a consequence pathology or they actively drive its progression. Several using laboratory animals suggest gut may be involved both onset and progression CRC. In present study we utilized azoxymethane-dextran sulfate sodium (AOM/DSS) mouse model investigate contribution healthy-state inflammation-associated tumorigenesis. Two cohorts C57BL/6 mice harboring different demonstrated susceptibility AOM/DSS treatment. Sequencing 16S rRNA bacterial DNA fecal samples revealed Akkermansia muciniphila Bacteroides acidifaciens as marker features (before administration), showed strong positive correlation tumor incidence. Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by joint inflammation and skin lesions. Recent research has underscored the critical role of gut microbiota—comprising bacteria, fungi, viruses, archaea—in pathogenesis progression PsA. This narrative review synthesizes latest findings on influence microbiota PsA, focusing mechanisms such as immune modulation, microbial dysbiosis, gut-joint axis, its impact treatment. Advances in high-throughput sequencing metagenomics have revealed distinct profiles associated with Studies show that individuals PsA unique composition, differing significantly from healthy controls. Alterations abundance specific bacterial taxa, including decrease beneficial bacteria an increase potentially pathogenic microbes, contribute to systemic affecting intestinal barrier promoting responses. explores various factors age, hygiene, comorbidities, medication use. Additionally, it highlights diet, probiotics, fecal transplantation promising strategies modulate alleviate symptoms. The gut-skin-joint axis concept illustrates how influences not only gastrointestinal health but also inflammation. Understanding complex interplay between could lead novel, microbiome-based therapeutic approaches. These insights offer hope for improved patient outcomes through targeted manipulation microbiota, enhancing both diagnosis treatment
