ABSTRACT Objective: To compare the effectiveness of ear acupuncture with laser and needles in treatment anxiety university students post-pandemic context Covid-19, as well to evaluate possible symptoms or adverse reactions triggered by interventions. Method: Randomized clinical trial carried out 126 students, allocated “Needle” (control) “Laser” (experimental) groups. Five sessions were performed. Assessments performed before, after end seven days later (follow up), through State Anxiety Inventory measurement heart respiratory rates. The Generalized Estimating Equations used. Results: There was a reduction levels both groups, between initial final assessments, follow up. no difference groups Heart rate decreased Needle group up, up assessments; Laser remained constant over time did not differ from each other change either they assessments. higher occurrence that received intervention needles, despite mild intensity. ABSTRACT The prevalence of psychological distress is increasing in the Philippines, a country with limited resources for mental health programs. RESUMO Objetivo: Comparar a efetividade da auriculoacupuntura com laser e agulhas no tratamento ansiedade em universitários contexto pós pandêmico Covid-19, bem como avaliar os possíveis sintomas ou reações adversas desencadeados pelas intervenções. Método: Ensaio clínico randomizado realizado 126 universitários, alocados nos grupos “Agulha” (controle) “Laser” (experimental). Foram realizadas cinco sessões de auriculoacupuntura. As avaliações foram antes, após o término do sete dias (follow up), por meio Inventário Ansiedade Estado mensuração das frequências cardíaca respiratória. Empregou-se Generalized Estimating Equations. Resultados: Houve redução níveis ambos grupos, entre as inicial final, follow up. Não houve diferença nas avalições final A frequência reduziu grupo Agulha up, up; Laser permaneceu constante ao longo tempo não diferiram si alteração na respiratória eles maior ocorrência que recebeu intervenção agulhas, apesar intensidade leve.
