Las trayectorias históricas del conflicto palestino-israelí han encontrado en el tiempo reciente nuevas formas de expresión movilizadas por la red social TikTok. Utilizando método análisis sobre repertorios ciberactivismo Van Laer y Aelst, se examinaron 200 TikToks con hashtags asociados a causa Pro-Palestina. In this study, we explored political participation among young adults in Israel, with a particular focus on the impact of polarization their engagement online discourse. To end, by extracting total 23,223 Facebook activities (e.g., likes, comments) from 50 participants, analyzed 2,323 partisan-political and 1,434 socio-political patterns social identity expressions. contrast to previous research that predominantly relied only self-report or observed activities, used direct activity logs, combined in-depth interviews, thereby obtaining more detailed insight into user behavior. The results revealed usage frequently reflects hidden “political self,” characterized non-committal interactions frequent likes). study participants were at ease within domain than discussions. Abstract This study sheds light on interconnected topic dynamics across traditional news sources and social media platforms, emphasizing the influential role of topicality in shaping content popularity media. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation BERTopic models, we define sets 120 New York Times (NYT) topics to compare with 899,766 image-with-text memes from Reddit, showing that aligns many same topical patterns observed outlets. Topicality is formalized based temporal distributions over past 5 years. these features, investigation reveals significant correlations between rising NYT increased average upvotes particularly evident “innovator” posted during early stages a topic’s prevalence NYT. Furthermore, features show predictive power other content-based control CatBoost classifier prediction viral Reddit memes.

Within the Arab community of Israel, influence masculine perceptions, violence, carrying weapons, and their subsequent use are growing concerns that significantly impact public safety. The omnipresence social media further complicates this narrative, potentially reshaping traditional notions behaviors associated with masculinity. This study endeavors to delve deep into relationships between masculinity, weapon role plays in shaping these dynamics among adolescent boys young men Israel. By employing a qualitative constructivist lens, research integrated content analysis, digital ethnography, rhetorical semiotic analysis. participants included 40 Israeli Muslim Christian men. A recurrent theme was belief “Maktub”, signifying preordained events, pointing profound cultural relationship fatalistic views on violence. Participants’ backgrounds relation violence influenced stance carrying. There prevalent mistrust towards law enforcement. Social media’s pronounced, genre preferences acting as indicators violent inclinations.
