Background: Facility location is a key challenge in humanitarian logistics, particularly disaster response, where rapid and efficient resource deployment crucial. Temporary facilities offer cost-effective solution due to their flexibility addressing increased demand the dynamic conditions of post-disaster environments. Methods: This study conducts systematic literature review following PRISMA guidelines analyze facility problems involving temporary or modular logistics. A total 65 articles from Scopus Web Science were analyzed. Results: Most studies focus on like shelters medical centers earthquake-affected areas, with most applications Asia. Despite being temporary, only 6% consider closure decisions. Recent research explores that enhance adaptability through module relocation capacity adjustments. Conclusions: after sudden-onset disasters require advanced modeling approaches include multi-period planning, design, complex decision-making, requiring solutions heuristics relaxations. However, there lack application slow-onset human-induced disasters. Moreover, considering geographical, cultural, political factors essential ensure effective solutions. Further are also needed functioning as collection processing centers, given critical role supply chain.
