Distance Learners’ Basic Digital Competence in Higher Education

Basic digital competence is essential for learners in higher education and especially the field of distance education. The main purpose this study to understand levels Turkey according variables age, gender owing a computer. participants were consisted 243 studying at various disciplines state university. Data collected through survey via scale. findings research indicated that basic high communication moderate problem solving, university’s virtual tools social information data literacy. However, are least competent content development. In addition, statistical analysis did not differ terms gender. On contrary, significant differences existed literacy students with regard having computer age. results displayed it important include improvement into provide an opportunity reach facilitate learning.
