Abstract Background The issue of psychological burnout in most workplaces is a significant concern. Despite organizational psychology efforts to alleviate by emphasizing high-quality job conditions such as meaning and calling, discussions often overlook the impact insecurity. Given recent approaches’ tendency neglect fundamental lower-level needs, this study aimed explore negative effects on workers, focusing subjective Methods Counsellors, recognized for experiencing high burnout, comprised our with 420 finalized responses out 450 collected. Data analysis encompassed utilization SPSS 29.0, Amos SmartPLS 4.0, specific focus exploring mediating moderating variables. Results findings unveiled that insecurity weakened previously observed indirect work through living calling. This observation suggests intensifies, alleviating effect calling diminishes. reaffirms link between role among South Korean counsellors. Conclusions results underscore necessity interventions promote meaningful work, facilitate personal ensure security, thereby preventing or mitigating burnout.
