Purpose of review This explores the potential circulating miRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers for osteoporosis and bone associated disease, highlighting challenges in translating miRNA findings into clinical practice, including variability levels, need robust assay methods, importance preanalytical postanalytical variables. Recent finding research have identified involved cells differentiation, function, regulation osteoblasts, osteocytes, osteoclasts. Novel with osteoporosis, fracture risk, turnover, well their utility distinguishing between primary secondary forms been recently identified. On other hand, implementation is still limited due to lack standardized analytical procedures. Summary are noncoding RNA molecules that regulate gene expression, making them key players complex biological processes, such metabolism. The altered expression several may contribute disorders, osteoporosis. While significant progress has made identifying miRNA-based diagnostics requires further standardization methods before becoming part practice.
