One potential intervention for improving the health outcomes of individuals with ADRD providing opportunities socialization that are highly engaging. METHODS To identify strategies enhancing engagement, we studied recorded virtual group sessions older adults aged ≥ 65, mild to moderate who interacted younger adult facilitators. We developed multivariate regression models use data describing behavior, activity, composition predict enhanced engagement. RESULTS identified predictors engagement composition, structure, leadership, mode delivery. These results inform designing settings which maximize using synergistic influence whole groups on individuals. DISCUSSION make evidence‐based treatment recommendations facilitators seeking future research investigating preservation or loss Highlights Social isolation a major contributing factor development dementias. Background Suicidal and self-injurious-related behaviors (SSIRBs) are a serious public health challenge in China. However, comprehensive systematic review of psychosocial interventions for SSIRBs among Chinese adolescents has not been performed. To fill this gap, meta-analysis aimed to examine adolescents. Methods Eight international (PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Clinical Trial, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Web Science) four (Wanfang, SinoMed, CEPS, CNKI) databases were searched from inception 31 January 2023. Data extraction quality assessment independently conducted by two groups researchers. Qualitative synthesis both used. Results The initial search yielded 16,872 titles. Of the 649 full texts reviewed, 19 intervention articles focusing on met inclusion criteria. Thirteen out included studies involved cognitive–behavioral therapy (CBT). Seven non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) assessing self-injurious (six short-term three long-term studies). Compared with [−1.30 (95% CI: –1.84, −0.76)], had higher standardized mean difference (SMD) value [1.86 –2.72, −0.99)]. Meta-regression showed an inverse relationship between treatment response sample size (slope = 0.068, Z 2.914, p 0.004) proportion females 1.096, 5.848, < 0.001). Subgroup analyses that compared “less than 1 month” group [−0.494 (−0.783, −0.205)], “immediate postintervention” group, pooled estimate was significantly lower [−2.800 (−4.050, −1.550), 0.001]. Conclusion Our systematically summarized key characteristics effectiveness existing Short-term NSSI effective reducing behavior scores, especially immediate postintervention period. More favorable responses could be observed male small samples.

This review assesses interventions to reduce loneliness in Chinese older adults, analyzing 36 studies involving 3965 participants. Focusing on individuals aged 50 and over, the meta-analysis reveals a significant overall effect size (Hedges' g = 0.937, 95% CI [0.71,1.16], p<0.001), highlighting effectiveness of psychological mixed-method approaches. Despite promising results, methodological concerns suggest cautious interpretation. Future research should aim refine intervention quality examine impact technology-supported methods loneliness.
