Abstract Introduction The purpose of this study was to evaluate an intervention designed encourage therapists in a municipality mental health services team collaborate with their clients when writing journal notes. part low‐threshold service for children, adolescents and parents. offered individual therapeutic sessions parents, as well family sessions. documented encounters the clients' electronic records. Methods used convergent mixed methods design. First, quality quantity therapist–client interactions were measured before after using Scale Evaluation Staff‐Patient Interactions Progress Notes (SESPI). Cross‐tabulation logistic regression analyses examine potential differences recording therapists' approaches intervention. Second, we explored experiences participating project by conducting in‐depth interviews. Qualitative interviews analysed systematic text condensation. Abstract Australia’s Indigenous children are 12 times more likely than non-Indigenous to be in out-of-home care, a rate that has been increasing. Since 2009, government policies have committed keeping safe families through support, early intervention, and self-determination. Action not matched policy.
