Diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) is a multifactorial disease associated not only with hyperglycaemia but also circulatory disturbances such as hypertension. A close interaction between the immune system and hypertension known. It remains unclear whether inflammatory response in pathology of human DPN. Autopsied patients were evaluated: 7 non-diabetic (nDM), 11 (nDMHT), 6 diabetes (DM) 9 (DMHT). Intraepidermal nerve fibre density (IENFD) was examined by immunofluorescent staining. Dissected sural (SNs) morphometrically quantified. Dermal endoneurial macrophage infiltration evaluated double immunostaining using anti-CD68 anti-CD206 antibodies. IENFD significantly decreased DM compared to nDM (p < 0.05) further DMHT 0.05). Myelinated (MNFD) SN 0.01 vs. DM). The CD206

Small fibre neuropathy (SFN) is an early manifestation of diabetic polyneuropathy. Although oxidative stress, inflammation and change intestinal bacterial population are assumed to be their pathogenesis, the effects dietary nutrition have not been evaluated. The relationship between intake pain sensation was evaluated in Japanese population.
