Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the critical interplay between systemic infections and neurological complications, notably cerebral microbleeds. This comprehensive review meticulously aggregates analyses current evidence on microbleeds’ prevalence, pathophysiological underpinnings clinical implications within cohorts. Our findings reveal a pronounced correlation microbleeds increased severity of COVID-19, emphasizing role direct viral effects, inflammatory responses coagulation disturbances. documented association elevated risks morbidity mortality necessitates enhanced surveillance in managing patients. Although variability study methodologies presents challenges, cumulative substantiates as illness manifestation rather than mere coincidence. calls for harmonization research to refine our understanding guide targeted interventions. Prioritizing detection outcomes, such microbleeds, is imperative bolstering response strategies mitigating long-term impact survivors.
