These biologically active compounds classified into five major groups, namely phenolics, carotenoids, organosulfur compounds, nitrogen-containing alkaloids, known for potential health benefits the prevention of various diseases, including cancer. The purpose this review article is explore therapeutic dietary phytochemicals, such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, phytosterols, stilbenes, cancer treatment based on epidemiological studies clinical trials. The present work aimed to synthesis silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using biological waste products Citrus limon peels, its characterization, antimicrobial activities and the cytotoxic effect of synthesized green AgNPs. In this study, an efficient utilization and valorization of mandarin peel (Citrus unshiu Marc. var. Kuno) was investigated using innovative green extraction techniques. Bergamot belongs to the Rutaceae family and is a typical fruit grown principally in province of Reggio Calabria (South Italy).
