Over the past two decades, remarkable advancements have been achieved in stimulus‐responsive shape‐memory polymers (SMPs), which exhibit desirable properties such as characteristics, deformability, and biocompatibility, while responding to external stimuli. The development of polymer composites (SMPCs) leads high recovery forces novel functionalities, including electrical actuation, magnetic biocompatibility. enhanced remotely controllable functionality further expand application SMPs biomedical areas, surgical applications for replacing handheld instruments drug delivery systems. In this review, device SMPCs are focused on their recent bone tissue scaffolds, lumen stents, carriers examined. Furthermore, bottlenecks challenges encountered by devices elucidated. future trend is also discussed, aiming provide valuable insights broadening fields.

Objective To explore the association of wearable device-measured moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity (MVPA) with cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk in long-term cancer survivors. Methods This retrospective analysis involved a prospective cohort 6109 survivors without CVD from UK Biobank accelerometry subsample. The MVPA volume is categorised into four groups based on guideline recommendations (0–75 min/week, 75–150 150–300 ≥300 min/week). Cox proportional hazard models are used to investigate incident CVD. Results Over median follow-up 7.88 years, there were 539 events (361 coronary artery (CAD) events, 155 heart failure (HF) and 109 stroke events). Adjusted incidence rates (95% CIs) across min/week) 15.30 (12.90, 18.10), 13.50 (11.00, 16.40), 12.00 (10.20, 14.10) 9.86 (8.35, 11.60) per 1000 person-years, respectively. HRs CI) for CVD, CAD, HF highest group (≥300 compared those lowest 0.63 (0.49, 0.80), 0.68 (0.51, 0.91), 0.66 (0.42,1.06) 0.72 (0.42, 1.23), For obesity-related cancers, beneficial effect was observed when exceeding 300 min/week (HR 0.54 (0.37–0.81)) group. Conclusions Findings study suggest that longer durations associated reduced survivors, underscoring potential serve as key component cardio-oncology care.

Evidence on the association between neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and all-cause cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality in adults with cancer is limited. This study aimed to examine relationship NLR CVD cancer. A retrospective cohort included 2,639 patients U.S. from NHANES dataset (2005-2018), collecting demographic, laboratory, data. Multivariable Cox regression analysis, subgroup analysis restricted cubic spline analyses assessed associations outcomes. During a median follow-up of 77 months, 713 (27.0%) deaths occurred, including 149 (5.6%) CVD. revealed that high NLR, treated as continuous variable, was significantly correlated increased (HR, 1.09; 95% CI, 1.05-1.12; p < 0.001) 1.12; 1.05-1.19; 0.001). Meanwhile, when evaluating categorical adjusted hazard ratios (HR) for quartiles Q2 (1.6-2.2), Q3 (2.2-3), Q4 (>3) were 1.06 (95% CI: 0.83-1.34, = 0.062), 1.12 0.89-1.42, 0.334), 1.30 1.04-1.63, 0.021), respectively, compared individuals lower quartile Q1 (≤1.6). In terms mortality, HR values Q2, Q3, 0.92 0.50-1.69, 1.24 0.71-12.19, 1.76 1.04-2.97, 0.034), those Subgroup showed similar patterns (all p-values interaction > 0.05). Kaplan-Meier indicated survival rates higher RCS suggested positive linear mortality. Elevated linked risks among

Abstract Modern cancer therapies greatly improve clinical outcomes for both early and advanced breast patients. However, these advances have raised concerns about potential short- long-term toxicities, including cardiovascular toxicities. Therefore, understanding the common risk factors underlying pathophysiological mechanisms contributing to toxicity is essential ensure best outcomes. While cardio-oncology has emerged as a sub-speciality address challenges, it that all cardiologists recognize understand consequences of therapy. This review aims provide comprehensive overview adverse effects associated with modern therapies. A preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic workflow minimize impact on patient presented. Key aspects this include regular monitoring function, detection management therapy-related optimization factor control. By highlighting gaps in knowledge some areas, emphasize critical role research ensuring holistic well-being patients cancer.
