Multivariate analysis in suicidality research is of interest not only to identify the pathology but also understand mechanisms its treatment and ascertain more efficient intervention strategies. The current study aimed assess roles neighborhood factors, coping, resilience association between depression suicidal ideation understudied population young women Kampala slum areas Uganda. Data from baseline assessment "The Onward Project On Wellbeing Adversity" (TOPOWA) were utilized during analysis. TOPOWA a multi-component, prospective cohort examining mechanistic pathways mental illness context social determinants health lived experience among aged 18 24 years living urban slums Kampala. comprises 300 recruited 2023 3 sites (i.e., Banda, Bwaise, Makindye). A path hypothesizing characteristics, was modeled. Neighborhood characteristics this typically cohesion satisfaction. findings demonstrated significant role relationship depression, where prevalence (46.0%) (57.8%) substantial. Resilience linked reduced (β = -0.02, p < 0.05) -0.14, 0.001). Intervention programs geared towards building Uganda may reduce directly or indirectly by decreasing especially settings.
