In the era of information economy, integration internet and traditional industries is pushing rapid transformation world economy in a more innovative, smarter, greener direction. Based on panel data for 30 Chinese provinces 2006–2017 period, level China's development comprehensively evaluated using full array polygon graphic index method. The spatial Durbin model threshold are used to empirically analyze impact environmental quality. results indicate that pollution has significant spillover effect. Internet can not only significantly reduce local pollution, but also neighboring areas. regression mediation effect mainly affects by improving technological innovation, industrial upgrading, human capital financial development. Finally, policy suggestions proposed from aspects strengthening collaborative governance increasing infrastructure investment.

Participation and collaboration of citizens organized stakeholders in public decision-making is widely believed to improve environmental governance outputs. However, empirical evidence on the benefits participatory largely scattered across small-N case studies. To synthesize available case-based evidence, we conducted a broad meta-analysis 22 Western democracies, including 305 individual cases decision-making. We asked: How do 'more' processes compare against 'less' ones fostering - or hindering strong outputs, (i.e. provisions plans, agreements permits)? Which design features make difference? What role does context play? results change if control for intentions leading governmental agency? capture central processes, distinguish three dimensions participation: intensity communication among participants process organizers; extent which can shape decisions ("power delegation"); different stakeholder groups are represented. This study presents a comparative review of the environmental implications Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) usage in United States (USA) and Africa, examining policies that govern LNG-related concerns these regions. Recognizing global significance LNG as pivotal energy source, analysis explores distinct policy landscapes shaping its utilization two diverse contexts. In USA, where has emerged key component mix, scrutinizes federal state-level policies. includes regulations governing extraction, production, transportation LNG, with focus on mitigating emissions, preserving air water quality, ensuring ecological sustainability. The blue economy was originally conceptualised as having a strong focus on social equity; however, in practice, these equity considerations have been overshadowed by neo-liberal capitalist agendas, which become dominant discourse. A continued expansion of ocean industry developments and activities has resulted an inequitable share the burdens benefits utilising spaces exacerbated wealth disparities power asymmetries. Therefore, finding mechanisms to reinstate fundamental governance practice is increasingly important. However, there remain few practical examples that outline how embed within current frameworks for understanding are complex, often divergent less focused implementation. This paper outlines new model conceptualising clear easily understood, captures equity's key components dimensions, covers ethical concerns arise development. Furthermore, this can be practically applied embedded into structures. To demonstrate model's application, one participatory approach implementing governance.

Conservation tillage technology adoption has contributed significantly to sustainable agricultural development, but its effectiveness been hindered by conflicts among governments, agribusinesses, and rural households. The collaboration households (GAR collaboration) is a significant institutional innovation for advancing green development. This study constructs theoretical framework incorporating environmental characteristics, capacity, the of analyze impact heterogeneity effects GAR collaboration. Using village-level survey data from Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu Provinces, with focus on conservation technology, this explores mechanisms which influences adoption. findings reveal that: (1) are crucial improving adoption; (2) Environmental characteristics directly affect indirectly influence it through capacity; (3) Village size heterogeneous effect collaboration, being more pronounced in smaller villages; (4) primarily enhances reducing transaction costs defection risks. These insights contribute foundations collaborative approaches agriculture provide practical solutions improve

Many democracies find it difficult to act swiftly on problems such as climate change and biodiversity loss. This is reflected in long-standing debates research policy about whether democratic practices are capable of fostering timely, large-scale transformations towards sustainability. Drawing an integrative review scholarly literature from 2011 early 2021 sustainability the democracy-environment nexus, this article synthesises existing prospects pitfalls for democratising transformations. We advance a new typology understanding various combinations democratic/authoritarian towards/away then explore role accelerating or obstructing five key dimensions transformations: institutional, social, economic, technological, epistemic. Integrated water resources management (IWRM) has been central to governance and worldwide since the 1990s. Recognizing significance of an integrated approach as a way achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), IWRM was formally incorporated part SDG global indicator framework, thus committing UN its Member States achieving high implementation by 2030 measuring progress through 6.5.1. This paper examines extent which improves sustainable health water-related ecosystems-a first-of-its-kind in terms quantitative analysis on scale. To this objective, we conducted regression analyses between 6.5.1 (both (total score) dimensions 6.5.1) key environmental sustainability indicators: 6.2.1a (access basic sanitation), 6.3.1 (treated wastewater), 6.4.1 (water-use efficiency), 6.4.2 (water stress), 6.6.1 (freshwater ecosystems, although here trophic state turbidity variables were used) 6.3.2 (ambient quality). Our covers 124 countries for all these SDGs, with exception 6.3.2, cover 112 85 countries, respectively. Results show that IWRM-to different degrees-is mainly associated good status indicators, stress, quality, turbidity. We observe strong impact control such arrangements, economic situation geographical conditions. Lagged effects scope framework may also explain some observed variations degree association. study highlights importance further uncovering interlinkages achievement sustainability.
