This study aims to investigate the different local thresholding methods on various regions of noise images, which could be used for image binarization optical coherence tomography images. In one hundred 8-bit images noise, 1000x1000 pixel in size, is generated using ImageJ/FIJI program. Images processed with four auto threshold method program as Niblack, mean, median and midgrey, perform binarization. Twenty-five region interest, 100x100 from an analyzed area percentage (AP) measurement. Normality tests were performed via Saphiro Wilk test, Student’s t test one-way ANOVA assess continuous variables, Bonferroni post hoc analysis, utilizing IBM SPSS Statistics statistical analysis. results this mean AP Niblack was 42.08 ± 0.32%, 50.00 49.28 0.16%, midgrey 49.63 2.09%. One-way analysis shows all subgroups median, measurements are significantly each other. conclusion examined 100 across 25 (Niblack, midgrey). Analyses indicated that having lowest there significant difference between methods; researchers OCT processing should select aligned data properties, warranting further exploration these methods’ impact diverse image, especially taking into account effect noise.

Abstract The study aimed to examine alterations in surface-based amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (ALFF) and fractional (fALFF) primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) patients using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI), investigate their relationships with visual function molecular profiling. A total 70 POAG 45 age- sex-matched healthy controls (HCs) underwent rs-fMRI scans. differences between HCs groups were compared by two-sample t-test. Correlation evaluated ALFF/fALFF values' relationship ophthalmic parameters, patient-control uncover neurobiological mechanisms. displayed altered brain activity HCs, including decreased the network increased frontoparietal default mode networks. It exhibited reduced fALFF somatomotor ALFF dorsal ventral attention networks, associated neurotransmitter systems like dopamine, serotonin, amino acids, acetylcholine. Moreover, regions related vision attention. Surface-based processing cognitive control, working memory, These changes linked distributions important for emotional stability mental health, potentially informing treatment approaches patients.

The aim of this study was to compare vessel density (VD) in the retina and choroid eyes with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG), normal tension (NTG) controls. Patients POAG, NTG controls underwent OCT scanning macula disc followed by 6 × mm angiography (OCTA) imaging. Global hemifield VD were recorded for superficial (SVP) deep (DVP) vascular plexus choriocapillaris (CC). thickness nerve fiber layer (NFL) ganglion cell (GCC) also measured. Data from 65 33 40 control matched age analyzed. Mean SVP lower POAG compared (38.8 ± 5.3, 40.7 6.8 48.5 4.0%, p < 0.001). DVP (43.1 6.1, 44.5 7.6 48.6 5.8%, = 0.002). There no difference or between groups (p > 0.050). No noted CC (68.3 2.3, 67.6 3.7 68.5 2.6%, 0.287). Lower seen eyes. had similar loss. Eyes manifested
