Since
geodiversity
encompasses
a
broad
spectrum
of
the
earth’s
natural
features
and
provides
essential
ecosystem
services,
it
plays
critical
role
in
environmental
conservation,
cultural
heritage
enhancement,
sustainable
development
territory.
This
paper
presents
possible
actions
(use
digital
knowledge,
geosite
inventory,
geotourism,
legislative
recognition)
through
global,
regional,
local
examples:
series
research
public
engagement
initiatives,
including
themes
International
Geodiversity
Day
(IGD),
UNESCO
celebration
aimed
at
fostering
awareness
contribution
abiotic
nature
to
daily
life
stability.
The

how

The
Amazon
is
the
largest
drainage
basin
on
Earth
and
contains
a
wide
variety
of
abiotic
landscape
features.
In
spite
this,
geodiversity
in
this
has
not
yet
been
objectively
evaluated.
We
address
knowledge
gap
by
combining
meta-analysis
an
existing
global
map
its
components
with
systematic
literature
review,
to
identify
key
characteristics
(ADB).

evaluate
how
these
component
maps,
that

based
geology,
geomorphology,
soils
hydrology,
could
be
refined
better
reflect
basin.

review
shows
geology—through
lithological
diversity

structures—and
hydrology—through
hydrological

Abstract
Geodiversity—the
diversity
of
abiotic
features
and
processes

Earth's
surface

an
increasingly
used
concept
in
ecological
research.
A
growing
body
scientific
literature
has
provided
evidence

Abstract
Geodiversity
offers
novel
insights
into
biodiversity
patterns
and
their
underlying
mechanisms,
thereby
contributing
to
the
development
of
conservation
strategies
amid
widespread
environmental
changes

disturbances.

geodiversity
remains
largely
unexplored,
particularly
in
freshwater
ecosystems.
Here,
we
investigated
extent

fish
diversity
across
dimensions
(taxonomic,

phylogenetic)

We
first
compiled
three
datasets
(i.e.
occurrence
