Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) are any that do not cause tuberculosis or leprosy. While the majority of NTM harmless and some them considered probiotic, a growing number people being diagnosed with infections. Therefore, their detection in environment is interest to clinicians, environmental microbiologists, water quality researchers alike. This review provides tutorial on foundational approaches for taxonomic classifications, focus phylogenetic relationships among revealed by 16S rRNA gene,

For years, the Bacillus genus has encompassed a heterogeneous group of individuals whose main common trait was their ability to sporulate in presence oxygen. This criterion been revised, resulting reclassification several species into new genera and redefinition characteristics members this taxon. Currently, are grouped Subtilis clade Cereus clade. The former, called sensu stricto, initially composed B. subtilis, licheniformis, pumilus, amyloliquefaciens, subsequently incorporated related these. clade, cereus lato, consists pathogenic (B. anthracis, cereus, thuringiensis) as well others significance agriculture industry. Furthermore, identifying these remains complex, requiring alternatives 16S rRNA sequencing. form spores resistant stressful conditions provides significant advantage over other genera, with observable differences sporulation rates spore structure among different species. Additionally, spp. known for capacity produce antimicrobial substances, lytic enzymes, volatile organic compounds, each diverse applications. Some even used probiotics. review delves aspects taxonomy identification microorganisms belonging Bacillus, which often present challenges. aim is provide comprehensive overview topic. In addition, it highlights applications genus, emphasizing its importance biotechnology microbiology.

Verrucomicrobiota / Verrucomicrobiae Limisphaerales Fontisphaeraceae The genus contains one species with validly published name and belongs to phylum class Verrucomicrobiae, order Limisphaerales, family . Cells of this are Gram‐stain‐negative cocci, motile by means single flagellum, able form aggregates biofilms. These bacteria facultatively anaerobic, neutrophilic thermophiles, which grow aerobic respiration or fermentation. Mono‐, di‐, polysaccharides serve as carbon energy sources. Known habitats terrestrial hot springs. DNA G + C content (mol%) : 61 (genome analysis). Type persica Podosokorskaya et al. 2023, VL213.

The genus Lactococcus was proposed by Schleifer et al . separating lactis from the Streptococcus Although family Streptococcaceae consists of four genera, each contains a relatively small number species, with exception , which more than 100 species. genera and Lactovum currently comprise 26 species single respectively. This study evaluated taxonomy based on 16S rRNA gene phylogeny, core-genome phylogeny (conserved) pairwise average amino acid identity. These evaluations clearly indicated that could be divided into two genus-level clusters, we propose to reclassify this two; authentic includes L. group, novel for name Pseudolactococcus is proposed. Three lactic bacterial strains, RyT2 T OfM1 OfM2, were isolated gut termites in Okinawa, Japan. Based combination genetic phenotypic data, conclude these isolates represent respectively, names yaeyamensis sp. nov. (RyT2 =JCM 36015 =DSM 118067 ) odontotermitis (OfM1 34431 118066 OfM2=JCM 34432),

ABSTRACT The description of new taxa and nomenclature updates to currently known from aquatic animal species continues. After a review the literature 2022 2023, multiple lists bacteria, including members Phylum Planctomycetota , were compiled. As with previous review, most bacteria are oxidase-positive Gram-negative bacilli familiar families in Aeromonadaceae Flavobacteriaceae Vibrionaceae . A number Gram-positive described Nocardioides Paenibacillus Streptomyces genera. Two anaerobic listed, one member Family Planctomycetaceae is noted. Revised briefly mentioned. majority revised isolated healthy animals, therefore, role these health disease unknown. Bacteria pathogenic association potential production bioactive substances highlighted.
