Abstract Global policy aims to prevent species extinctions; support these conservation planners must effectively target interventions reduce the extinction risk of species. However, there is often a lack knowledge on magnitude and direction responses in turn extent which reduced. If we can use species’ life history strategies predict their interventions, this offers promising approach better understand risks potential. Here apply Dynamic Energy Budget Integral Project Models 23 reptile investigate whether traits be summarised into strategy framework using principal component analysis, positions along axes population growth rate, demographic resilience, sensitivity perturbations risk.
