Are policy work and the capacities required in developing countries different from those developed world? This article addresses this question using data a survey of professionals Philippines. The individuals surveyed have similar characteristics as their counterparts countries, but specific analytical style appears to be largely coordinative rather being directed at substantive procedural aspects – which raises questions about whether or not various skills resources enable them carry out effectively. An important finding is that, despite primarily an nature, they are more comfortable performing political operational tasks than conducting substantive, rigorous analysis. Overall, while organisational systems processes place, systemic capacities, particularly capacity, continue on-going constraint work.

Although the link between government performance and citizen trust in seems intuitive, relationship is not supported some of literature. This article argues that difficulty empirically demonstrating this rooted defining measuring meaningfully. Performance measurement can improve directly through participation evaluation process or indirectly by improving citizens' perceptions performance. To achieve potential, current performance-measurement practice must be improved: to measure what citizens really care about, more systematic integrated across agencies, include other governing entities, become an ongoing participatory which governments are both transformed.

This research investigates how levels of citizen trust in government and compliance are affected by citizens' use the Internet. Starting from premise that information is a key determinant public opinion behavior, this explores extent to which time citizens spend on Internet affects their with policies, compared influence traditional, off-line, mass media modalities, such as newspapers. Having its origin in public administration, trustworthiness is a significant concept digital government research, influencing the relationships between citizens and governments. Therefore, aim this research was to develop theory detailing factors affecting citizens’ perceptions e-government trustworthiness. What drives citizen satisfaction and trust with US federal government agencies? Are these determinants constant across agencies, or do they differ? In this article, we examine elements of perceived performance as in agencies using a multi-year, cross-sectional, multi-agency sample respondents. Focusing on six high-incidence experienced by large cross-section American citizens, observe differences the trust, which include perceptions quality services information provided, demographic factors, expectations, e-government adoption. We discuss differences, particular focus implications findings for practice benchmarking.
