Abstract This paper examines the spatial distribution of chemical startups in Visegrad Countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary), highlighting their potential to drive technological innovation by creating new products or services under conditions high uncertainty. The study focuses on proximity these medical universities those with biotechnological research fields better understand geographical patterns knowledge spillovers. Data were drawn from Crunchbase, a comprehensive startup database, resulting final sample approximately 333 operational chemical, pharmaceutical, startups. Companies identified using keyword-based searches, while locations distances nearest recorded. Statistical methods applied assess patterns. Commercialization of the university product has become one strategic focuses in Malaysian universities. As Malaysia aspires to a high-income and developed nation, commercialization research is treated as key enablers becomes critical for country's socio economic development.
