The sustainability concerns of the developed world together with increased tourism activities and migration have stimulated growth expansion domestic international High Value Markets (HVMs) black pepper. This study is an attempt to identify transactional attributes farmer capabilities that influence smallholder farmers’ willingness participate in pepper HVMs examine novel vertical integration mechanisms connect them HVMs. based on primary data from randomly selected 198 farmers eight prominent growing Agro-ecological Units (AEUs) Kerala. factors influencing were analysed logistic regression framework. trend analysis revealed cultivation area as well export at national level, while a stagnation was observed state level.
