A bibliometric analysis of telework research based on Web of Science via VOSviewer DOI

BACKGROUND: The COVID-19 pandemic has sparked increased interest in telework as a means of reducing the spread virus and maintaining social distance. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to generate bibliometric analysis research progress trends over past 20 years. METHOD: A search key terms was conducted Social Science Citation Index, Index Expanded, Arts Humanities categories for documents published on from 2000–2023. total 3,446 studies were analyzed using VOSviewer co-citation, co-word, cluster analysis. RESULTS: Bibliometric revealed that experienced significant increase during pandemic, with number publications 2022 being more than 15 times higher 2019. most commonly researched areas related applied psychology, management business. knowledge base focuses antecedents, moderators, mediators, consequences telework, primarily centers around seven directions well-being, mental health, work-family conflict. conceptual framework suggestions future investigation are proposed based results CONCLUSION: provides an overview two decades, highlighting current status hot topics field. It calls wider active participation researchers globally advance understanding telework.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the longitudinal relationships between intensity of remote work (IRW) and job performance (JP) with mediation effect work–life balance (WLB) moderation by overload (WO). Design/methodology/approach A three-wave survey, covering pre-pandemic period, pandemic itself post-pandemic was conducted among 291 employees. The authors applied linear regression analysis a moderated cross-lagged structural equation model using Mplus 8. Findings results show that IRW WLB JP are negative in short term; yet over time, employees able adapt benefit from flexibility offered (RW). can contribute better long run. Furthermore, plays moderating role long-term relationship RW JP. There is second-stage on this WO. Purpose This study aimed to explore various effects of remote work on employee job satisfaction, engagement and aspects individual performance, namely task contextual performance counterproductive behaviour, in the banking sector. Design/methodology/approach We used a survey-based quantitative approach. The sample comprised 403 bank employees Lithuania, Denmark, Norway, Finland Sweden. To analyse data, we employed confirmatory factor analysis, CB-SEM multiple regression mediation analysis moderation analysis. Findings direct showed that intensity has positive impact negative nonsignificant performance. Job satisfaction behaviour. Engagement improves decreases positively mediates engagement; however, total is negative. significantly moderates engagement.
