Background This study aims to empirically test a comprehensive interrelationship between green supply chain management (GSCM), technology innovation (GTI), waste (WM), big data analytics capability powered by artificial intelligence (BDAC-AI), and their collective impact on sustainable performance (SP) in organizational contexts. Methods was conducted Pakistan’s food processing sector. The respondents included 495 managers working the industry. A structural equation modelling (SEM) approach is used examine direct indirect relationships variables. originality of this lies integration acceptance model (TAM) dynamic theory (DCT) understand practices context provided model. Results highlights that GSCM, GTI, WM, BDAC-AI have positive, strong, impacts SP. Furthermore, GTI WM only partially mediate link GSCM SP, whereas two moderate link. In addition, had moderating effect relationship has managerial implications, including strategies involve use theoretical frameworks for technological capabilities support initiatives. However, it worth noting findings provide practical contingency businesses interested implementing studies effectively, improving technologies, strengthening capabilities. Conclusions extends literature establishing operationalizing adds value first integrates TAM DCT explain operations organizations. existing SC. It offers through which can be operationalized FS sector.

In the age of Industry 5.0 (I 5.0), manufacturing SMEs face critical challenge balancing technological advancement with environmental sustainability. This study explores intricate relationships between technologies—specifically Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (BDA-AI), Human-Robot Collaboration (HRC), Internet Things (IoT), sustainable practices in SMEs. Drawing on data from 466 across key industrial regions, we employ structural equation modeling to uncover transformative roles Eco-Innovation. Our findings reveal that Eco-Innovation (Eco-Inn) acts as a pivotal mediator, translating capabilities into enhanced performance (EP). breaks new ground by examining ethical implications within 5.0, offering insights its long-term sustainability impact. By integrating resource-based view theory, this research presents novel framework for digital era.

Purpose In today’s business landscape, drawing upon the critical role of environmental sustainability, this study investigates intricate relationship between green human resource management practices (GHRMP), big data analytics capability (BDAC), competitive advantage (GCA) and performance (EP), further moderated by managerial concern (MEC). Design/methodology/approach This employs a quantitative approach using latest version SmartPLS 4 4.0.9.6 on sample 467 participants representing diverse range manufacturing SMEs. Data were collected from managers directors structured questionnaire analyzed structural equation modeling (SEM). contributes to existing knowledge integrating GHRMP BDAC within GCA framework, providing comprehensive understanding how these enhance SME`s sustainability. Findings The findings provide valuable insights into sector, aiming SMEs' advantage. Implementing fosters awareness workforce, building allows for effectively translating that actionable insights, maximizing potential achieving GCA. Furthermore, recognizing MEC’s moderating strengthens positive outcomes associated with confirm are resources key drivers contributing in sustainability enterprises. Practical implications For SMEs, our suggest strategically not only boosts stewardship but also improves operational efficiency market positioning. research outlines steps SMEs achieve targets while enhancing profitability. provides strategic decision-making policy formulation, aiding navigating complexities sustainable development effectively. Originality/value robust theoretical explanation HRM help gain competitiveness. implication reveals implementing advanced more likely draws support resource-based view (RBV) theory, positing firm’s stems its unique capabilities difficult competitors imitate or substitute.
