Purpose The present study’s aims are twofold: 1) to contribute theory development by accounting for both personality and trust in the conceptualization of technology acceptance using model (TAM) as theoretical framework; 2) explore influence ChatGPT-integrated chatbots on tourism behavior. Design/methodology/approach target population this study was travelers who previously used (website/ app) plan their holiday abroad. An online survey questionnaire created with Google Forms distributed via a panel company (iPanel). A screening question included filter out respondents have not technological means (iPanel) hired collect data from convenience sample 305 Israeli tourists met above criterion between August 22 27, 2023, were at least 18. Findings significant positive relationship observed ChaptGPT perceived usefulness. Furthermore, association ease use intentions future holidays. Purpose This study aims to explore how information systems (IS) capabilities, organisational agility and artificial intelligence orientation (AIO) influence the competitive advantage (CA) of theme parks operated in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Design/methodology/approach Data were collected using a survey 341 park representatives. Partial least squares structural equation modelling was used test hypotheses multigroup analysis applied examine control variables. Findings The results show that with strong IS capabilities tend achieve significant edge. In addition, are more agile outperform their competitors. However, although (AI) tools crucial, they do not necessarily strengthen impact these on parks’ success. Practical implications Theme operators should invest technology improves operational efficiency customer service while building flexible structures swiftly adapt market trends. Although AI is valuable, real focus UAE be strengthening ability effectively use IS, which directly contributes sustained CA. Originality/value uniquely integrates an AIO, offering fresh perspectives for navigate technological shifts. findings suggest successful digital adaptation relies balancing practices.

Purpose This study uses the pleasure–arousal–dominance (PAD) theory to explore how users’ emotional engagement with ChatGPT drives their continued adoption of and word-of-mouth (WOM) behaviour in context travel-related service. Design/methodology/approach obtained reliable data from 428 Chinese respondents who used for purposes. Structural equation modelling was test a series hypotheses based on PAD framework. Findings identifies three key features human–artificial intelligence (AI) interaction, namely, service ubiquity, entertainment anthropomorphism, which significantly influence responses, including pleasure, arousal dominance. Dominance pleasure are found enhance experiences, driving positive WOM recommendations ChatGPT, whereas influences but does not affect adoption. The results also confirm that perceived interacting has strongest effect. These findings advance theoretical understanding by clarifying mechanisms underlying human–AI interactions tourism context. Originality/value examines emerging trend tourists’ continuous services. highlight different emotions interaction long-term use AI-powered tool
