Effective diagnostic capacity is crucial for clinical decision-making, with up to 70% of decisions in high-resource settings based on laboratory test results. However, low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) access services often limited due the absence Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). LIMS streamline operations by automating sample handling, analysis, reporting, leading improved quality faster Despite these benefits, sustainably implementing LMIC challenging high costs, inadequate infrastructure, technical expertise. This study evaluated implementation a customised microbiology at National Health (NHL) Timor-Leste. The was deployed November 2020, an accompanying online results portal introduced early 2021. assessed via checklist key challenges requirements LMIC, alongside post-implementation survey scientists clinicians. assessment revealed significant improvements processes, including enhanced throughput, data management, result reporting. reduced transcription errors standardised reporting antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST), improving accessibility. such as unreliable internet connectivity need ongoing funding support persist. user satisfaction survey, responses from 19 15 clinicians, positive feedback workflow accessibility, although concerns about speed, sustainability, further training were noted. highlights importance careful planning, customisation, stakeholder engagement LMIC. success Timor-Leste demonstrates potential patient outcomes, but also underscores investment expertise, sustainability planning.

Abstract The Indonesian Ocean region has frequently experienced geological disasters, posing dangers to community life and vital infrastructure such as fiber optic cable in the sea. increase population need for development maritime risk of losses due natural disasters. To protect infrastructure, a comprehensive multi-hazard analysis seas combined with marine disasters is required. This study applies GIS-based analytic hierarchy process (AHP) assess level hazard Banda Sea, covering an area 518,400 km 2 . Three factors are considered this analysis: seismic hazards, underwater volcanism, landslides. All aspects categorized into five classes based on their relative contribution risk. results show that about 17% 30% hazardous moderate conditions, respectively. Meanwhile, regions within Arafura Sea tend fall non-hazardous class. Moderate found waters around Tanimbar, Kei, Aru Islands. areas classified presence many seamounts seabed west Tanimbar multi-hazards map provides essential information identifying area, which can be used future management planning.
