A novel demodulation scheme for a point-type fiber sensor is designed salinity concentration monitoring based on Sagnac interferometer (SI) composed of tapered polarization-maintaining (TPMF) and optical time stretching technology. The SI, constructed using PMF with taper region 5.92 μm an overall length 30 cm, demonstrated notable enhancement in the evanescent field, which intensifies interaction between light field external salinity.
