This review draws on a systematic literature and bibliometric analysis to examine how Digital Twins (DTs), Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) support the reconfiguration of Cyber–Physical Systems (CPSs) in modern manufacturing. The aims provide an updated overview these technologies’ roles CPS reconfiguration, summarize best practices, suggest future research directions. In two-phase process, we first analyzed related work assess current state assisted manufacturing identify gaps existing reviews. Based insights, adapted PRISMA methodology was applied screen 165 articles from Scopus Web Science databases, focusing those published between 2019 2025 addressing DT, XR, AI integration Reconfigurable Manufacturing (RMSs). After applying exclusion criteria, 38 were selected for final analysis. findings highlight individual combined impact DTs, processes. DTs notably reduce time improve system availability, enhances decision-making, XR improves human–machine interactions. Despite advancements, gap exists regarding application technologies, indicating potential areas exploration. reviewed studies recognized limitations, especially due diverse study designs methodologies that may introduce risks bias, yet offers insight into landscape RMS suggests research.

The integration of Digital Twin technology into active learning environments has been established as an innovative strategy to optimize engineering education. This study focuses on the development and evaluation a tool based technology, enabling interaction communication between physical teaching module virtualized environment representing industrial cocoa production process. system was operated by students using S7-1200 PLC HMI interface developed in WinCC, facilitating real-time process monitoring control via IoT. To assess its impact, experimental design implemented, comparing pre-test conventional modules with post-test incorporating technology. results indicate significant improvement students' accuracy efficiency, 38% reduction task execution time. is attributed system's immersive interactive capabilities, which allow for simulation actuator sensor behavior under real-world conditions. These findings highlight potential Twins not only educational tools but also valuable assets optimization sector, aligning Industry 4.0 principles.

Extended Reality (XR), encompassing Augmented (AR), Virtual (VR), and Mixed (MR), enables immersive experiences across various fields, including entertainment, healthcare, education. However, its data-intensive interactive nature introduces significant cybersecurity privacy challenges. This paper presents a detailed adversary model to identify threat actors attack vectors in XR environments. We analyze key risks, identity theft behavioral data leakage, which can lead profiling, manipulation, or invasive targeted advertising. To mitigate these we explore technical solutions such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Rivest–Shamir–Adleman (RSA), Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) for secure transmission, multi-factor biometric authentication, anonymization techniques, AI-driven anomaly detection real-time monitoring. A comparative benchmark evaluates solutions’ practicality, strengths, limitations applications. The findings emphasize the need holistic approach, combining robust measures with privacy-centric policies, ecosystems ensure user trust.

EMT enhances security significantly improves integrity management. Its constant three-degree MT with multiple leaves, branches, single root node enables updated authentication, verification, validation procedures. proposed method applied e-HS scenario, outperforms state-of-the-art techniques, achieving minimal verification time 14.26 m 100 transactions. research, therefore, contributes discourse presenting an innovative efficient solution tailored unique e-health systems.
