Neuroscience advances have highlighted the potential of non-invasive brain stimulation in influencing cognitive and emotional processes. Conventional methods such as electrical, magnetic, ultrasound been studied intensively, but little is known about mechanical stimulation. To investigate effects 40 Hz transcranial vibration (TVS) on human activity, specifically focusing changes Amplitude Low-Frequency Fluctuation (ALFF), fractional ALFF (fALFF) Regional Homogeneity (ReHo) measures spontaneous activity. Additionally, this study investigates alterations global blood-oxygen-level-dependent (gBOLD) signal cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) inflow coupling, which serve indicators glymphatic system function. A custom-built head actuator was used to apply TVS brain. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) were performed before after 5 minutes explore fALFF coupling activity with flow (CSF), related clearance. Significant increases observed both metrics, indicating that effectively enhanced promoted synchronization overall CSF, suggesting an improvement clearance processes, effect 30 or 50 did not replicate. Non-invasive using provided important implications for modulating physiology showed prospective therapeutic benefits neurological diseases.
