During times of crisis, businesses need strategic partnerships and digital transformation to survive. Understanding how alliance management capability can work together enhance supply chain capabilities during a crisis is important. We have developed theoretical framework that explains the capability, under mediating influence transformation, helps build for unprecedented crises. ABSTRACT Do fund managers learn about salient risks? To address this issue, we explore whether managers' exposure to prior disease outbreaks might affect their performance during COVID‐19. Using data on US equity managers, find that H1N1 funds with exposed the influenza A in 2009 (H1N1) generate superior returns 2020 COVID‐19 crisis compared other funds. possible explanation is use less human‐interaction‐based information after so affected by lockdowns prevented social interaction pandemic. The rising incidence, variety and severity of extreme events that threaten both business society has increased interest in promoting resilience to such threats. However, relatively little research explored the potential contributions accounting profession at multiple scales levels analysis. To address need for additional research, this study we explore during COVID-19. Drawing on a unique database over 26,000 social media posts by two principal professional bodies UK context (ICAEW, ACCA) UK-based accounts 'Big 4' services firms (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG), as well user-engagement with those posts, highlight processes which encouraged among individuals, organisations, wider society. Our findings illuminate how contributed supporting more effective crisis responses (by sharing trusted advice shaping policy responses), better adaptation crafting post-crisis futures empowering profession), improved future anticipation challenging complacency being good citizens). We build our analysis propose new framework characterising pathways professions contributing resilience.

In this paper, we examine to what extent external factors (country and industry) internal (capabilities of firms) explain firm resilience outcomes during the first toughest months a wild card crisis. Our study uses multivariable regressions on sample 1,180 firms. Using evidence from survey 58 countries 17 industries, our results show that, contrary mainstream, effects play more significant role in explaining than effects. Abstract The ability of organizations to remain resilient in the face supply chain disruptions has been severely tested due their increased frequency and impact. This study leverages adaptive cycle framework investigate intricate dynamics between concentration organizational resilience. We unveil a paradox where, up critical threshold, fortifies resilience through tight‐knit buyer–supplier relationships bolstered resource base. Yet, surpassing this tipping point precipitates rigidity trap, eroding fabric organizations.
