ABSTRACT As a growing number of organizations are leveraging emerging technologies to optimize their operations stay competitive, digital transformation has fast become an integral part employee experience at the intersection psychological states and workplace. However, with is heterogeneous given different approaches take toward this initiative. We hence simultaneously consider both nature (i.e., automation versus augmentation) presence absence voice mechanisms. Drawing from reactance theory, we argue that automation‐driven will be more likely engender reactance, which in turn impacts important job attitudes, represented by satisfaction, employment security, turnover intention. also moderates mediated relationship.
