This study investigates the coupling and coordination between resilience efficiency in promoting sustainable development of tourism economies, using Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei urban agglomeration as a case study. The employs an integrated approach combining improved CRITIC-Entropy method, super-efficiency SBM model, degree model to measure economic efficiency, examining their spatiotemporal evolution. Further, PVAR is used explore bidirectional dynamic relationship efficiency. findings indicate that has evolved from “coordination transition stage (2011–2012)” (2013–2020)”, showing trend towards positive coordination. Spatial analysis reveals significant regional differences, with Beijing Tianjin having higher levels than Hebei Province, demonstrating radiating effect core cities, while overall level within Hebei’s cities still needs improvement. confirms interaction both exhibiting self-enhancing mechanisms. research highlights importance balancing for development. It offers valuable insights policymakers planners enhance adaptability competitiveness economies response external shocks, contributing long-term sustainability industry.
