Abstract In the digital economy era, supply chain digitalization has become a crucial factor driving sustainable development. Based on Chinese A‐share listed companies from 2011 to 2021, we use innovation and application pilots as quasi‐natural experiment empirically examine impact of corporate environmental, social, governance (ESG) performance via double machine learning (DML) model. The results indicate that significantly enhances ESG performance, this conclusion remains valid after various robustness tests. Mechanism analysis shows improves by enhancing internal operational efficiency, increasing interfirm trade credit, external supervision. Finally, promotion effect is mainly present in corporates with stronger cooperative culture, capabilities, party organization, those operating heavily polluting industries.

This study compares time-based and quantity-based consolidation strategies within the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) framework to optimize supplier profitability logistical efficiency. The model consolidates deliveries at fixed intervals, offering predictable routes, reduced customer wait times, cost efficiency in stable markets. Conversely, dynamically adjusts delivery volumes meet fluctuating demand, providing flexibility dynamic environments but potentially increasing long-term costs due complexity. Using a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model, sensitivity analyses, scenario-based experiments, demonstrates that excels conditions, while performs better highly variable demand scenarios. These findings provide actionable insights for selecting operations enhance supply chain performance based on market dynamics.

Supply chain diversification (SCD) is widely acknowledged as a crucial strategy for sustainable supply management. However, its influence on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance remains unclear. This study will explore the impact of SCD ESG uncover underlying mechanisms drawing structure–conduct–performance (SCP) paradigm. To achieve this, we employ multidimensional fixed effects model empirical analysis utilizing panel data from China’s A-share listed companies 2010 to 2023. The findings reveal that enhances performance. For large-scale enterprises or those engaged in highly competitive high-pollution industries labor-intensive capital-intensive sectors, well are located eastern central regions, positive relatively more pronounced. mechanism shows green innovation digital transformation act mediators through which drives improvements. Furthermore, environmental uncertainty (EU) positively moderates relationship between These insights provide guiding framework, rich theoretical depth practical significance, committed developing chains pursuing long-term outstanding within complex dynamic market environments.

Abstract In both private and Government sectors, the convergence of digital technologies environmental, social, governance assessment addresses concerns regarding sustainable practices. This study explores crucial ESG activities for supply chain focusing on their promotion businesses. Initially, a literature review experts input identified 12 potential activities. Using Best‐Worst Method, these were ranked, interactions evaluated through Total Interpretive Structural Modeling Matrix Cross‐Impact Multiplication Applied to Classification technique. The key include “circular economy practices waste reduction,” “energy efficiency reduction in carbon emissions,” “data privacy cybersecurity.” Understanding enables organizations mitigate environmental impact, enhance social performance, improve chains. implications extend fostering environmentally conscious chains rapidly evolving landscape, aligning with “sustainable development goals,” including justice, responsible consumption, clean energy, climate action.

With the advancement of global sustainable development goals and introduction ‘dual-carbon’ strategy, intelligent manufacturing (IM) has become an important pathway to promote transformation upgrading enterprises. However, ways in which IM enhances environmental, social, corporate governance (ESG) performance, along with its potential mechanisms, remain unexplored. This study employs a two-way fixed-effects model panel data from 4417 Chinese listed firms spanning period 2009–2022 examine these relationships. It is found that significantly improves ESG performance. Robustness tests confirm reliability results, mechanism analysis highlights mediating effects information transparency, green technology innovation, supply chain collaborative innovation. Furthermore, heterogeneity indicates notably stronger effect high-carbon-emission sectors, state-owned enterprises, high-tech industries. suggests policymakers should design differentiated policies based on industry firm characteristics adoption foster strategies. research contributes expanding theoretical understanding how affects while also providing empirical evidence for enterprises governments transformation.
