Abstract The systemic nature of SARS-CoV-2 infection is highly recognized, but poorly characterized. A non-invasive and unbiased method needed to clarify whole body spatiotemporal dynamics after transmission. We recently developed a probe based on the anti-SARS-CoV-2 spike antibody CR3022 study pathogenesis in vivo. Herein, we describe its use immunoPET investigate three rhesus macaques. Using PET/CT imaging macaques at different times post-SARS-CoV-2 inoculation, track 64Cu-labelled CR3022-F(ab’)2 targeting protein within respiratory tract uncover novel sites infection. this method, uncovered differences lung pathology between with WA1 isolate delta variant, which were readily corroborated through computed tomography scans. 64Cu-CR3022-probe also demonstrated dynamic changes occurring 1- 2-weeks post-infection. Remarkably, robust signal was seen male genital (MGT) all animals studied. The novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) generated a worldwide emergency, until the declaration of pandemic in March 2020. SARS-CoV-2 could be responsible for disease 2019 (COVID-19), which goes from flu-like illness to potentially fatal condition that needs intensive care. Furthermore, persistence functional disability and long-term cardiovascular sequelae COVID-19 survivors suggests convalescent patients may suffer post-acute syndrome, requiring care personalized rehabilitation. However, pathophysiology manifestations is still under study, as better comprehension these mechanisms would ensure more effective therapies. To date, mounting evidence crucial endothelial contribution clinical COVID-19, cells appear direct or indirect preferential target virus. Thus, dysregulation many homeostatic pathways endothelium has emerged hallmark severity COVID-19. aim this review summarize dysfunction with focus on pharmacological rehabilitation strategies targeting an attractive therapeutic option setting.

Objective: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the cause of disease 2019 (COVID-19) that has rapidly spread worldwide, causing hundreds thousand deaths. Normal placentation characterized by many processes strictly regulated during pregnancy. If impaired, it can lead to gestational disorders, such as preeclampsia a multisystem disorder occurs in 2–8% pregnancies worldwide. Methods: We performed systematic search understand potential involvement SARS-CoV-2 onset using databases, PubMed and Web Science until 31 January 2022. Results: infection not only causes damage system but also infect human placenta cells impairing pivotal necessary for normal development. The inflammatory response trigged COVID-19 very similar one found suggesting possible link between Conclusion: Some studies showed affected had higher incidence compared with SARS-CoV-2-negative ones. However, increased blood pressure does allow associate hypertension common factor both conditions. At present, no diagnostic tools are available discriminate real from preeclampsia-like patients infection. Thus, new specific assure an appropriate diagnosis these patients, especially case severe disease.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) is the cause of infectious disease (COVID‐19) and has rapidly spread worldwide, causing serious problems to healthcare systems many countries hundreds thousand deaths. In this review we discuss data from literature understand whether various districts male reproductive system may represent another vulnerable target for SARS‐CoV‐2. Studies were searched electronic databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, COVID‐19 specific LitCovid, until July 31, 2021. It appears that SARS‐CoV‐2 virus infection not only causes damage system, but could have a impact on patients modulating physiological processes. Like some other infections, also leads worsening semen quality an increase in oxidative stress (OS) levels. However, due limited number studies, it unclear deterioration parameters temporary or lasts over time. certainly important patients' function monitored after avoid health future.

Viral respiratory infections (VRI) are the most prevalent type of infectious diseases and constitute one common causes contact with medical care. Regarding pathophysiology cardiovascular system, VRI can not only exacerbate already existing chronic disease (such as coronary artery or heart failure) but also trigger new adverse events complications (e.g., venous thromboembolism), latter particularly in subjects multimorbidity disease-related immobilization. In current paper, we provide a narrative review diverse well summarize available data on pathology circulatory system course coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).

COVID-19, the infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), is frequently associated with pulmonary thrombotic events, especially in hospitalized patients. Severe SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized a proinflammatory state and an disbalance hemostasis. Immune pathology analysis supports inflammatory nature of arterial thrombi composed white blood cells, neutrophils, CD3+ CD20+ lymphocytes, fibrin, red platelets. cytokines, chemokines, complement system are key drivers immunothrombosis, as they induce damage endothelial cells initiate procoagulant positive feedback loops. Neutrophil extracellular traps induced COVID-19-associated “cytokine storm”, platelets, coagulation pathways close inflammation–endotheliopathy–thrombosis axis, contributing to SARS-CoV-2-associated events. The hypothesis immunothrombosis also supported minor role venous thromboembolism chest CT imaging data showing peripheral clots lesions high incidence events despite routine thromboprophylaxis. Understanding complex mechanisms behind COVID-19-induced thrombosis will lead future combination therapies for patients that would target crossroads pathways.

Since its discovery in Wuhan, China, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has spread over the world, having a huge impact on people’s lives and health. The system is often targeted people with disease 2019 (COVID-19). virus can also infect many organs tissues body, including reproductive system. consequences of SARS-CoV-2 infection fertility pregnancy hosts are poorly documented. Available data other coronaviruses, such as (SARS-CoV) Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) identified pregnant women vulnerable group increased pregnancy-related complications. COVID-19 was shown to pregnancy, which be seen either mother or fetus. Pregnant more likely require intensive care treatment than non-pregnant women, they susceptible giving birth prematurely their newborns admitted neonatal unit. ACE2 involved regulation both male female systems, suggesting that associated RAS dysfunction could affect reproduction. Herein, we review current knowledge about fertility, fetuses. Antiviral type I interferons (IFN) produced in the early phase of viral infections effectively inhibit replication, prevent virus-mediated tissue damages and promote innate adaptive immune responses that are all essential to successful elimination viruses. As professional IFN producing cells, plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC) have ability rapidly produce waste amounts IFNs. Therefore, their low frequency, dysfunction or decreased capacity IFNs might increase risk severe infections. In accordance with that, declined pDC numbers delayed inadequate could be observed patients coronavirus disease (COVID-19) caused by acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2), as compared individuals mild no symptoms. Thus, besides chronic diseases, those conditions, which negatively affect antiviral lengthen list factors for COVID-19. current review, we would like briefly discuss role dysregulation pDC/type axis COVID-19, introduce IFN-dependent factors, account an increased COVID-19 severity thus responsible different magnitude individual SARS-CoV-2.
