This mini-review examines the complex relationship between gut microbiota and human health, with a special focus on its role in conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) cardiovascular (CVD). It explores how dietary patterns can affect composition of microbiota, thus contributing to development various diseases. The is crucial production metabolites trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO), which play significant both IBD CVD. High levels TMAO other metabolites, phenylacetylglutamine, have been linked an increased risk review highlights potential interventions therapies designed modulate reducing these risks. Following Mediterranean diet may offer protection, emphasizing need for further research into molecular mechanisms diet-related changes microbiota.
