Background:
Articulation
disorders
in
children
can
impede
communication
and
social
interaction.
Traditional
Therapy
(TAT)

Picture
Test
(PAT)

contrasting
approaches
employed
to

This
study
aims
to
extend
current
knowledge
about
the
possibilities
and
challenges
encountered
by
Swedish
speech
language
pathologists
(SLPs)
in
targeting
everyday
communication
children
with
developmental
disorder
(DLD).

explore

unstructured
focus
groups

SLPs,
working
DLD,
shared
their
views
on
alignment
between

This
chapter
addresses
an
equity-centered
approach
to
family-professional
partnerships
on
augmentative
and
alternative
communication
(AAC)
service
delivery
for
young
children
with
complex
needs
(CCN).
Despite

recognition

family-centered
practices
as
best
practices,
families
often
voice
their
frustrations
when
attempting
implement
AAC
in
homes,

culturally
linguistically
